Formed in 2005 by founders Kent Brewer and Stephen Morse, our Fredericton-based company serves the needs of clients across the Maritime Provinces. With Kent's background in economics and finance and Steve's background in the insurance/investment industry, these two truly make a formidable team.

Steadily, our business grows — one broker, and one client at a time. The growth of our two companies has been purely organic; no client lists or books of businesses have been purchased. We’ve mainly grown our businesses “from one kitchen table to another.”

Kent Brewer is a founder and co-owner of Mortgage Alliance Front Gate Mortgages, Mortgage Brokerage. He has been involved in the financial services industry since 2002. He has a vast array of experience in both commercial and residential lending, as well as the insurance/investment side of the business. Kent acts as the managing broker for Mortgage Alliance Front Gate Mortgages and is responsible for the coordination of the broker team and administrative staff. Kent is a believer in continuing education and promotes the value of the Accredited Mortgage Professional designation to his staff, clients and the public at large. He demonstrates a strong work ethic, straight-forwardness, honesty and an open mind to problem solving, and this keeps him and the staff in high demand.

More About Kent Brewer

Kent graduated with a BA from St. Thomas University in 2004, earning First Class Honours in Economics, with Distinction. Kent holds the Accredited Mortgage Professional designation and the LLQP, as a qualified life and accident/sickness professional. Kent spends the majority of his time in practice helping business owners plan for the most important events in their business life, from tax efficient investment strategies to succession planning, pensions and covering the most significant business risks associated with the executives/owners of companies, etc. Kent is passionate about helping business owners plot their road map for success and putting strategies in place to ensure accountability to their long-term plans.

When not at work, Kent loves spending time with his wife and 4 little boys. He can often be found on the hockey rink or on the soccer pitch, coaching a team that his boys play on, or you may find them around a campground on the weekend or by the river with the boys and their fishing poles. Kent coached both Timbits and Novice hockey this past season and has been a registered Hockey Official with the NBHOA since 1994. Kent is a past President of Business Fredericton North.

I have been involved in the financial industry for over 37 years. My expertise includes numerous positions such as Manager Customer Service and Financial Advisor held with a major bank. During my tenure with the bank, I received several awards for excellence in customer service. A few years ago, I decided to pursue a career as a Mortgage Consultant and concentrate my expertise in mortgages. I have helped many first-time buyers plan for and purchase their new home as well as helping existing mortgage holders refinance or transfer their mortgage to find the best solution for their financial needs.

I have built my business always making myself available at clients' convenience whether it be going to a home at 8pm after children are settled or bringing a coffee to a contractor on a job site. Bev has had a very successful career at Scotiabank for 30+ years. Her last position there was Branch Manager, Sales and Service at the Kings St Branch. During her time there, she managed a large team of financial sales and service providers. She also assisted her own clients in buying homes, investing for the future, building their business, and managing their day-to-day finances.

She has a vast knowledge of budgeting, goal planning, investing, lending, day-to-day banking, and protection. Since leaving the bank, she has furthered her studies in insurance. Being a parent herself, Christa is keenly in tune with the importance of financial planning and looking ahead to the future for both her clients and their families. Christa graduated from UNB with a degree in Kinesiology, but quickly discerned her true interests were in other areas. While still having a competitive spirit, she turned her efforts to the finance sector and was employed as a personal banking representative for a major banking institution for the next 10 years. After having taken a few years off to have children, Christa decided it was time to focus on other ventures and tried her hand at sales. This lacked the true feeling of helping others and Christa jumped at the opportunity to join the Front Gate Team. Outside her work, Christa loves working with the teams that the children play on – primarily hockey – having served as team manager a number of times. She displays the same passion and drive for her own family's endeavors that her clients will enjoy from her.
